This full-day, hands-on course provides automotive locksmiths with practical, foundational training in soldering, desoldering, and working with EEPROM components inside automotive ECUs and immobilizer modules. Designed to build real confidence at the module level, this class walks students through safe handling, precision techniques, and essential electronic workflows used in modern key programming and immobilizer repair.

Each student will be provided with soldering equipment and will gain direct experience identifying EEPROM components, acquiring data, and performing controlled modifications using industry-standard tools.

What You’ll Learn

Soldering & Desoldering Fundamentals

  • Saab CIM
  • Volvo Blue/Black Box
  • BMW EWS3 / EWS4
  • Mercedes-Benz EIS

Class Format

Students will work in pairs, using identical modules to complete guided, real-time exercises alongside the instructors. Training begins with simple in-circuit EEPROM examples and progresses to more advanced techniques, allowing students to build skills, confidence, and precision step by step.
